The death of dogma is the birth of morality
German philosopher in the Age of Enlightenment. In his doctrine of transcendental idealism, he argued that space, time, and causation are mere sensibilities; "things-in-themselves" exist, but their nature is unknowable.
But only he who, himself enlightened, is not afraid of shadows
Out of the crooked timber of humanity, no straight thing was ever made.
One who makes himself a worm cannot complain afterwards if people step on him
I had to deny knowledge in order to make room for faith
Dare to think!
Look closely. The beautiful may be small
Fear not death for the sooner we die, the longer we shall be immortal
Little science takes you away from God but more of it takes you to Him
Dance, when you're broken open. Dance, if you've torn the bandage off. Dance in the middle of the fighting. Dance in your blood. Dance when you're perfectly free
I will speak daggers to her, but use none
The face is the mirror of the mind, and eyes without speaking confess the secrets of the heart
The past is a place of reference, not a place of residence; the past is a place of learning, not a place of living
